Meghan Lockwood
Meghan Lockwood - Junior High Head Band Director
Meghan Lockwood graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2005, and began her teaching career in Florida. She spent three years establishing a band program for middle and high school students and brought students to their first competitive event in school history. In 2008, she became the junior high director for Pampa Junior High in the Texas panhandle. From 2008-2016, her bands received first division, sweepstakes awards. The Pampa Junior High bands were Outstanding Performance Series state finalists for five years. She grew the program to double its size when she left in 2016. Her husband’s job took them for one year in Atlanta where she worked with inner city students. In 2017, with much rejoicing to return to Texas band programs, she joined the Stephenville Band staff as the Assistant High School Director. In the four years she was in Stephenville, she received sweepstakes awards for high school and junior high bands. Mrs. Lockwood has two daughters, Katie (7th grade) and Emma (3rd grade). Her husband, Eric is on staff at Kennedale High School. She is an avid marathon runner and has qualified for the Boston marathon! She also loves hiking, camping and Disney World!
